About Earthquake History Explorer & methodology

How Earthquake History Explorer works, which inputs it supports, what its results mean and where its limits apply.

Earthquake History Explorer

Explore historical USGS earthquakes by location, dates and magnitude. Compare two equal-radius regions, animate the timeline and export source-linked CSV or GeoJSON.

How we build a check

This workbench processes supported inputs locally. We test calculations, file structure and generated artifacts using independent readers or known fixtures where available. The example runs the same processing path as a supplied input; it does not stand in for checking your own result.
